Great weather, in the centre of town there are several Mexican food restaurants and not Mexican restaurants. There is a great craft market and a few museums and gardens, all within walking distance. Cuernavaca is also a good starting point for other truly Mexican towns, like Taxco or Malinalco.

The Brady Museum was nice...very nicely designed spaces on a hill...by the Franciscan monks initially. By the valley of the creek road, there is a guy with 3 vintage cars, 1941, 1951, 1959...american cars, a Hudson, a Chrysler, a Ford--also, the guy is next to his son..the Aquarium and fish store..he has wonderful rock jewelry made of jade, amethyst, quartz, local basalt...the main cathedral is worth a look...also a great bird sanctuary only open on Sundays..big bazaar on Sunday Afternoon but Brady is closed on Mondays.

Cuernavaca is the always sunny destination in Mexico.
Cuernavaca is the always sunny destination in Mexico. Incredibly convenient if you are in Mexico City. It has an abundance of water which makes it ideal if you want to swim, warm baths, or enjoying a jacuzzi. I would say the hospitality of Mexicans is warm and top level.

Almost all of the city's major sites are shutdown.
Almost all of the city's major sites are shutdown. I cannot blame a town for taking COVID precautions, but overall there is no real tourism in this place anymore. Without the few museums open, this place is extremely missable, better to head to Tepoztlan instead.

Not too small town with beautiful old architecture and that authentic atmosphere of Mexico I was looking for. There are a lot of great restaurants hiding in monasteries, yards, and gardens with awesome cuisine and not expensive. A lot of bars and parties with cumbia and lemon beer you can find easily. Also, you can find good hospitals for medical checks or some procedures you may need.
The breakfast was really good, traditional Mexican style breakfast. There were no American or Continental options - just very good mexican breakfast. Especially Sunday morning it was an amazing array of choices from pancita (tripe soup) and pozole (hominy) to quesadillas made at the moment.
The pool seems to be the main attraction of the hotel and the kids loved it. There is a nice little Palaba next to it where parents can sit and enjoy a book or a beer while the kids play.
Everything was fantastic. I went there with my family, and my mum wears a wheelchair; she never goes out on a trip because she usually struggles too much. Most of her experiences were traumatic, but this hotel and its staff were so friendly and helpful that it was a pleasant experience for the whole family.
I can’t thank enough all of the staff and especially Jorge, who went above and beyond to make of our experience a perfect one.
- very friendly host and family. Helpful and always attentive. A very pleasant experience!
- beautiful home with cozy and exceptionally decorated rooms. Very clean and well-kept
- Rich and high quality breakfast
- quiet and safe neighborhood
- good options for sightseeing in the surrounding area (archaeological site, parks, etc.)
- good options for shopping (e. g., Plaza Cuernavaca)
We had the smallest room but it was bigger than most standard hotel rooms and beautifully designed and furnished.
The food in the restaurant was very good. Service was pleasant but a bit amateurish and slow at times.
Lovely swimming pool area.
Excellent valet parking and reception.
An oasis of calm, much nicer than staying in the city (we had a car).
The hotel is right in the city centre, which is great for sightseeing. The place is well kept overall and while the rooms are small and fairly basic, they are clean and have all you need for a short stay. The hotel staff is helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The hotel met our expectations based on previous comments left by guests.
Reception staff is unfriendly. They have a horrible attitude, certainly not ppropriate for a self rate 5- star hotel. More like a road hotel. Rest of the staff at restaurant and room cleaning is good. It will be advisable to train better the staff ar reception to show a real service attitude to guests.
We've never experienced a host as caring and accommodating as Karen before. Our stay at Sol y Salsa was truly magical and unforgettable. Karen went out of her way to make us feel at home and to ensure we would make the most of our stay in Cuernavaca. We would love to come back sometime.
hotel, facility, spa, restaurant, mainly the hotel is awesome, but everywhere around my esperience was always expecting more attention from the staff.
love the spa, the birds flying and libving around with all guests and the hotel is beautiful. it makes a special place.
Pet friendly but no area to take the dog for a walk or any grassy area for the dog to do his thing, all parking concrete and no where to take him, had to walk outside the hotel to a nearby pharmacy that had grass for the dog to do his thing.
Breakfast is good, there is a buffet in a beautiful place with lots of options.
I just LOVE the gardens in this hotel, I could spend hours there.
Rooms are very spacious and nice, I would recommend better pillows.
Beautiful hotel and we had a nice & quite room (despite the hotel being in the city center / close to a lot of bars). We were there during the week and had the pool to ourselves - very nice place to relax.
Beautiful hotel, pool (temperature controlled) and greenery, great rooms, great service. Restaurant and chef were excellent (great food) and best of all!! Pet friendly, we had our cat with us.
